one. - Macrame everything. I love this photo I found on Pinterest, using vintage (maybe rusty, probably cheap finds at a thrift store) to hold things; plants, pens, stamps, stationary, twisty-ties? Whatever your heart desires! That's why it's awesome. Are you following me on Pinterest yet? I pinned a to-do on making macrame pot holders like this one. To spare you all the trouble of trying to find macrame rope: Jo Ann Fabrics. They have eggshell white and a natural-dyed brown for $6 each - download the Jo Ann App and get 40% off one. I just got some and made one for a small pearl succulent that is currently hanging from a piece of drift-wood in the bedroom. Totally cool. Super easy.
two. - Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris is the newest read my book club has chosen! Score one for me that I was able to check out the only copy at the library this afternoon. Yes. I think this is going to be a good one.
three. - Confetti tea! How about tea for any occasion because I am obsessed with it. All winter long I drank chamomile before bed and now that it's so hot out it's just not doing it for me. The other day while I was at the coffee shop I decided to try their in-house chai iced and with a shot of espresso because chai is generally too sweet for me (aka/fyi 'dirty chai' whoa). It was ridiculous. That's my new guy now. (P.S the Drake General Store - where this tea is sold, is really cool. Check it out!)
four. - Are you ready for the top secret information I am about to give you (especially my beloved TOMS wearers): Peppermint Oil. Let's be real; shoes with no socks gets funky for most. For me, yes. But I love my TOMS and I'm not about to wear my knee-highs or those weird little barely Peds on my feet with them. All you need is about two drops of peppermint oil on a cotton ball, sweep the bed of your shoe from top to bottom and voila. You're welcome. I use Young Living but there are lots of options out there!
five. - Something that is not top secret; my love for Etsy. Have you checked out their vintage stuff? I was perusing their vintage magazines and books and came across a seller of old Life and Seventeen. (Pictured: Twiggy, 1967 & Bright Spirit of Marimekko, 1966). Swoon.
six. - One word: Madel(e)ine. I love the stories and I love the little-cakes. Together, an impeccable pairing. Not quite the same as freshly baked in France, buuuut Starbucks sells them in a sealed pair and they are amazing with Americanos.
