a couple of weeks ago i traveled to the mountains for a work conference. i took the morning to explore.. and i found the most amazing little town in the western catskills called livingston manor.
if you ever get to the catskills (about an hour to two from nyc) -- you will be so happy because you can visit this shop and the florist next door. you'll feel great because you'll be supporting the local farmers, filling your belly with the most delicious goodies, and then bringing home all the orange ranunculus your trunk can fit! it's incredible, and i never wanted to leave. such a beautiful little spot in the middle of the most breathtaking views.
main street farm. everything about it was my favorite.
locally grown, organic meats, herbs, and veggies - farmstead cheese, breakfast sando's to make you just fall right out of your chair.. freshly brewed coffee to sip while you gander about. books, cocktail makings, local beer, all shelved up in the most beautiful aesthetic.. rustic wood and big windows. listen, just visit, ok? extended weekend trip to the big city of lights and then one full day of relaxing in the country - the perfect mix of rur-ban adventure! i plan to take that very trip in the warmer months. <3
the first photo is of capa bidding me farewell with his cute little face. he always knows how to lay it on thick when i start to pack my bag. :)
