welcome to this weeks sunday musing; a selection of some of my favorite visuals, inspiration, and often food-oriented goodies I’ve stumbled across. i think you’ll enjoy this weeks picks just as much as I do. <3
[top left] : i am so obsessed with heather hardison’s illustrations (and her love for food). i found her many moons ago, but recently rediscovered and fell in love all over again. she is incredible. you can find her portfolio here, and some of her coalesced foodie-illustration work here. love all of them, I can’t wait to get her book. you can too by clicking below:
[top right] : if i could live vicariously through someone i follow on instagram, hands-down; rachel claire. her photographs are magical— and beautiful. they are woodsy, and breezy, nostalgic, and energized. i think it’s the colors in her photographs-- wherever she is, which transpose 'the feels' for me. yup, that’s what does it for me. you’ll see. :)
[bottom left] : just this weekend, i found out about second storie! second storie is a trio of lovely ladies, with a mission to collaborate and support area artisans and craftspeople in and around rochester, ny. they hold an annual market in the city bringing together many amazing creators — you can find out more by visiting here. also! great to learn of local goods featured on their instagram feed, too!
[bottom right] : all right, everybody! this is it. i don’t know whether to jump up and down about how excited I am about these guys or to cry in my cornflakes for not thinking of this ingenious idea before them. this is a really great concept, and i believe the duo behind the idea are, too! jake ahles and max block, from los angeles, ca — have created the faretrade: working collaboratively with food artisans and chefs to bring their customers small-batch and crafted larder. subscribe to their service and you'll receive a monthly package (or less frequent if you desire) containing a collection of delicious vittles! you’ll also get to access the talents and recipes of featured chefs. this is love at first sight for me. i am so excited to get my first batch!
this month, chef kris morningstar, is putting together a killer menu (check it out here)!
now, i'm hungry... what else is new?! :) i hope you all have a great start to this week!
